PINK NIGHT 1 JULY 2016
PINK POSITIVE
The famous motto of positive thinking, ‘Think Positive’, turns pink and becomes ‘Pink Positive’ to announce the eleventh edition of Pink Night, which on Friday 1 July invaded the seafront promenades, beaches, squares, historic centres and iconic monuments of the Adriatic Riviera from Comacchio to Senigallia with its contagious energy and inimitable party atmosphere.
Pink Positive, the claim of Pink Night 2016, is an invitation to lightness and positivity that accompanies the official image of the event a big smile on a pink background, accompanied by two sweet little eyes, a reference to the emoticons universally in daily use in the messaging systems of our smartphones. A message of serenity, joy, sweetness, complicity, irony and zest for life, the same qualities that have always distinguished Romagna and its people, and which are perfectly synthesised in the Pink Night.
Various and all symbolising the salient features of the Romagna Riviera, are the ‘declinations’ of the face, created by Rimini designer Andrea Cavallotti, which appeared on 3,500 posters of the event (but also 8,000 posters and 33. 000 postcards) that have invaded the Riviera: ranging from the Smiley with heart-shaped eyes (to indicate love and friendship) to the one with sunglasses (to symbolise the beach), passing through the more ‘hipster’ version with a moustache and the one with only one eye, a sort of contemporary Cyclops, to emphasise that the Pink Night - and Romagna - are for everyone, regardless of age, sex or nationality.
