PINK NIGHT 4 JULY 2014
‘ITALIAN PASSION’
Passion is the leitmotif of the ninth edition of the New Year's Eve of Summer, 2014, and representing it in the official image - a quotation from the famous kiss between Paolo Malatesta and Francesca da Rimini, reinterpreted in a contemporary key by the artist Marco Morosini - is Francesca da Rimini, the world's best-known icon of love and passion, her kisses being the most famous, the most passionate and the most poetic ever told.
She personifies the most typical feeling that animates this land and its people: passion! In the image, the past is united with the present, the young people of the past are re-proposed in a contemporary key with mp3 player headphones and tattoos, but still wearing Renaissance clothes and with phrases, on them, that refer to Dante: ‘Amor, ch'a nullo amato amar perdona’. In the poster, the two kiss sweetly, a book lying on the girl's legs, just as in the tale of Paolo and Francesca.
Passion has been the driving force behind Notte Rosa since its first edition in 2006, and every year it is passion that enriches the event, making it special and unique, attracting thousands of people in search of fun, authenticity, hospitality and warmth. It is the same passion that the world has always recognised in Italy! Passion that has created myths and legends: from Ferrari to Ducati, from Giuseppe Verdi to Luciano Pavarotti and Vasco Rossi, from Federico Fellini to Michelangelo Antonioni, from Alberto Tomba to Valentino Rossi, passing through Italian haute couture and without forgetting the passion for good food and its jewels, such as Parmigiano Reggiano, pasta, and made-in-Italy ice cream. The same passion that can be breathed when visiting Romagna, discerned in the smiling, welcoming faces of the people, in their music and delicious food. The same passion that all the municipalities of Romagna and all the tourist operators put into transforming an event into an unforgettable celebration!
