PINK NIGHT 5 JULY 2013

AsaNIsiMAsa

La Notte Rosa 2007 The Soul is the official theme of the eighth edition of the New Year's Eve of the Italian summer, for a weekend with hundreds of events including music, culture, food and wine, and entertainment, all in the name of the most authentic spirit and genius loci of the Romagna Riviera and its people.

Giving an image to this theme is the Rimini studio Inéditart.

An image that fixes in a poetic and highly evocative way the most awaited moment of the Pink Night since its origin: the midnight fireworks concert on the entire coast.

Suspended in the centre of the poster is the magic formula AsaNIsiMAsa, while in the background a child wearing a red tuba transforms an ordinary night into an explosion of colours with the stroke of a magic wand, creating an unforgettable event, with the help of a large, placid moon. The magic formula ‘AsaNIsiMAsa’. is the sequence of words that the children protagonists of ‘8 e ½’, the famous film by Federico Fellini, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2013, pronounce at night to make the eyes of a portrait move and that, behind the ‘serpentine’ alphabet: a secret alphabet that breaks the words down into syllables and, after each syllable, adds the ‘S’ followed by the last vowel of the group, so as to conceal the word Anima.

Anima as the warmth, authenticity and great friendliness and personality of the people of Romagna, the Riviera's innate vocation for hospitality, good living and conviviality, the timeless charm and fascination of its places, the spontaneity and immediacy of its people, the ability to combine light entertainment and ‘high’ culture. Soul like Federico Fellini, the piadina romagnola and fried fish, the playboy lifeguard, the passion for ‘e’ mutor! (which here is the motorbike), the strascicata esssce, bathing in the sea at dawn, Palmiro Cangini and Giuseppe Giacobazzi, the dialect and the ‘arzdore’ (traditionally the reggitrici of the domestic hearth), ballroom dancing and the ritual of the freshly baked doughnut after a night at the disco, Sangiovese and Squacquerone.
