DESCRIZIONE EVENTO

On Sunday 21 June, MEET – the Santarcangelo Ethnographic Museum Park – will host a new edition of the traditional Wheat Festival, an event that celebrates the harvest and the deep connection between the local area, agricultural work and the life of rural communities.

Through talks, workshops, demonstrations and festive activities, the day invites visitors to rediscover the knowledge and practices that have accompanied the journey of wheat for generations: from cultivation to milling, right through to bread-making, with a particular focus on the rediscovery of ancient grains, baking with sourdough, and the reconstruction of a supply chain linking farmers, millers and bakers, as well as the regeneration of local areas and small towns. A journey that intertwines agricultural biodiversity, sustainability and the enhancement of local areas, refocusing attention on bread not only as food, but as an expression of culture, relationships and community.

From field to table, this edition focuses primarily on bread production and the supply chain as opportunities to forge new connections and envision forms of development capable of bringing together tradition, innovation and participation.
