DESCRIZIONE EVENTO
The centenary of the Museum dedicated to Francesco Baracca in Lugo, in the province of Ravenna, comes to life with a rich calendar of initiatives that, from spring to winter, will accompany the city on a path of memory and enhancement, including the reopening to the public of the renovated Museum from 13 June.
Famous historical planes will be ready to fly over the city square on the central day of the celebrations, Friday 19 June, the anniversary of the death of the Italian aviation ace. The event will also see the participation of the Piedmont Cavalry in historical uniforms on horseback. In the evening, we will move to the Rocca Estense where the conference '19 June 1918, 18.40. How did Francesco Baracca die?", bringing together for the first time the main hypotheses on the aviator's death.
On Saturday 20 June, the airport named after him will also host exhibitions of historical aircraft from the Jonathan Collection as well as a static exhibition.
The initiatives will continue in the following months with further events including music, theatre, exhibitions, meetings and moments of celebration.
